Me & My Drinking

beer,pint
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look
into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of
their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out
of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be
selfish and worry about my liver."

Dear Jeff Nelson

PhotobucketYou've blown 4 calls at 1st. Missed balk, called a ball going foul fair before it reached the bag, called Sandoval's ball foul when it looked like it clipped the line, gave the tie to the defense instead of the runner. Somehow you've managed to screw both teams a couple times. You are one of the reasons why everyone is upset with umpiring.

Bandwagon Baseball Fans

I wonder how many people at Turner Field tonight are watching their first Braves game of the season. I'll bet a lot. It's sad that the team was in first place most of the season, yet every time I saw their home games/highlights that stadium was half empty. Bandwagon fans are the worst.

A Baseball Fan's Dilemma

Photobucket
As a baseball fan you have to root for the Braves and Padres to win Sunday. To set up 1-game playoffs Monday and Tuesday. As a Phillies fan, I'm torn. That scenario would likely benefit the Phillies, as 2 playoff teams would play extra games. The Reds would join them in waiting til Tuesday night to find out where they'll play. But a Phillies win Sunday would eliminate the Braves and end Bobby Cox's career. I think I might rather see that.
